We’re Kimberly and Brittany, your go-to friends to talk through all things sexual wellness + the co-founders of KIMBRITIVE!

We know first-hand what it’s like to grow up without any real talk about our bodies, sex, & relationships.

So many young Black women and girls grow up the very same way

  • Unable to find safe, destigmatized, sex-positive, inclusive, and medically accurate information about their changing bodies and thoughts

  • Unfamiliar with human sexual anatomy and knowledge of their reproductive rights

  • Unsure about how to prevent pregnancy, prevent STDs and HIV, and maintain healthy relationships

  • Uneducated about important reproductive justice issues and how they are impacted by the decisions our government makes

  • Unconnected to trusted and informed supports who foster safe spaces for honest, vulnerable communication about sexual wellness

  • Unaware of how to vocalize what they find pleasurable for their bodies, and what they don’t like

It all starts with real and open conversation.

We know Black women and girls have questions about their sexuality and sexual wellness, questions that often go unanswered or are met with dangerous myths or inaccuracies. We’ve developed several resources to help you and the women and girls in your life feel empowered to understand your bodies, cultivate healthy relationships, and unapologetically celebrate your whole selves.

At KIMBRITIVE, we're on a mission to change all of that!

Our Values

Meet
Kimberly +Brittany

You’d never guess that we grew up 3 miles away from each other in the concrete jungle of Brooklyn, New York but met for the first time in college, where we quickly became best friends.

While serving in a student-led sexual health organization on campus, we learned we both grew up without having real conversations about sexual health. It bothered us to know that Black women and girls just like us were still being left out of the conversation.

We saw the same passion in each other, expressed in complementary ways. Brittany’s dedication to showing women how to use their voice in their relationships and world matched Kimberly’s devotion to reducing stigma in the dialogues we have about sexual health. Brittany was a goal-oriented visionary and Kimberly delivered in execution.

We knew things needed to change in our communities. So we decided to roll up our sleeves, form the Dream Team, and get to WORK, together. We hustled to receive five advanced degrees between the two of us and launched Kimbritive’s signature workshops in 2016. Since then we’ve been privileged to work with over 30 organizations and counting, and we’re loving every second of it!
