“Paps on Tap is a safe space for Black women to discuss sexual wellness, which isn’t something we’re typically encouraged to do.”

When it comes to your sexual health and sexual wellness journey, there is SO much to learn about and process for your healing and self-discovery. It can feel overwhelming trying to go about this on your own, especially when you’re not sure who to go to for the answers or support that you may need. But no worries – we got you!

Learning about your incredible body and how to care for it doesn’t always have to happen from a page in a brochure, a tab on your browser, or behind closed doors 🙅🏽‍♀️ – it can happen over cocktails, conversations, and celebration!

This is a ticketed and online registration-only in-person event for Black women, femmes and non-binary folks age 21+— if this is you please come through— if it is not, see you soon at our next event! This is a spoken English language event focusing on people with uteruses and vaginas. We hope to support language diversity and justice in our future events.

We’ve designed a fun and interactive way for you and your homegirls to:

  • Learn how your sexual wellness journey can be supported by your healthcare homegirls: an OB/GYN, pelvic floor therapist, doula, and sex therapist

  • Mix and mingle over good vibes, mocktails, cocktails and light refreshments

  • Build community with other Black women on their sexual wellness journey

  • Take home a curated pleasure and wellness goodie bag (valued at over $100!) featuring products from Julie, ÜberLube, Dame, Playground and so much more!

Dr. Shanaye Jeffers

Dr. Shanaye Jeffers is a board-certified OB/GYN. She couldn't imagine a life outside of being an OB/GYN, especially at home in NYC.

In the clinical realm, Dr. Jeffers values partnership with her patients. She believes in the importance of mutual transparency and openness to co-create the most effective care plans.

Dr. Jeffers is Brooklyn born and bred, with Caribbean roots. She made her second home Philadelphia where she received her medical degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She then went on to complete residency at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was accepted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society — an award recognizing compassionate care that supports human connection in healthcare.

During her residency, Dr. Jeffers had the formative opportunity to train alongside midwives, an experience that instilled in her a deep appreciation for collaborative, human-centric care, and led her to a more integrative practice.

Natasha Camille is a relationship and sex therapist for BIPoC & LGBTQIA+ communities.

In their therapy practice, Wildest Dreams Therapy, they work with individuals, couples, & families to transform painful generational patterns into the cultivation of intimacy & deeper connection with self and others. Their approach invites the mind, body, & spirit to heal in tandem through a combination of attachment, somatic, and psychedelic-assisted therapies. Natasha’s work is rooted in and guided by the traditions of Black, queer feminism & healing justice.

A pelvic floor physical therapist, Dr. Goodson has guided hundreds of women through their journey of reclaiming their body.

Dr. Jada-Nicole Goodson, PT, DPT is a pelvic floor physical therapist based in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Goodson has guided hundreds of women through their journey of reclaiming their body, by expanding their knowledge of what it means to have a healthy pelvic floor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, weight lifting, and exploring Philadelphia’s unique food scene.

A doula, organizer, and co-founder of Bx (Re)Birth and Progress Collective, which seeks to improve maternal health outcomes for Black people in New York.

In addition to her work at Bx (Re)Birth, she facilitates workshops for educators and parents about Restorative Justice and practices, race and equity, and other topics.

The Space

Atrium 82 is a Black women-owned intimate gathering space located at 82 6th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11217. The closest trains are the 2 and the 3 to Bergen street but nearby are the B,D,N,R,Q,4,5, and LIRR at Barclays Center. Street parking is available and garage parking at GGMC located at Atlantic Terminal 625 Atlantic Avenue Brooklyn NY 11217 for less than $5 on days that do not host entertainment at the Barclay's Center.

Paps on Tap is an incredible experience that allows you to network and learn from other Black women and dive into otherwise “taboo” topics. Kimbritive is breaking down walls and opening up the conversation so that we all can be better informed!

  • I really enjoyed my first live Paps on Tap event! I attended by myself, so the conversation starters were so helpful in breaking the ice, making me more comfortable, and introducing me to the ladies I sat next to. The event was well put together. It was intimate, and all of the touches were thoughtful. I really appreciated the gift bag. Not only was I introduced to new products, but the quality of the bag will last me a while as well, lol. Thanks!
